How would you explain the Christian Faith to someone who knows nothing about Christianity?

For example, you're going out and meeting people, trying to evangelize, and you come across a person who knows absolutely zero about Christianity, and by zero, I mean rock-bottom zero knowledge about Christianity. Where would you start?

How would you answer the problem of evil?

One of the great philosophical objections to our faith in Christ is this: How can evil exist when the All-Powerful and All-Loving God is here and alive? Now throughout history there have been many really good answers to this specific problem, and some have chosen to not accept those good answers, which is wrong. But how would you, being a Christian, answer the problem of evil to people such as atheists?

Cycles of sin and how to stop them?

If you're in a cycle of sin, like sinning but repenting but sinning again by going back to the old snares and digging yourself into a deeper hole, what do you do? How do you deal with these cycles of sin and is it possible that God is working in you through these sin cycles to further develop character? And when Jesus said to the adulterous women, "go and sin no more" (John 8:11), what did He really mean by that? Or does it matter more what you do towards the end of your life than the beginning or middle portion? Basically, how do you say "no" to sinning when it is so tempting to do what your consciousness knows is sin? Sorry if this question is kind of all over the place.

Is believing in God based on geography?

OK, this is a controversial thing to talk about but I can't help but notice a lot of... patterns with belief based on geography. For example, around 79.8% of people in India are Hindu, over 90% of people in Thailand practice Buddhism, and literally 96-97% of people in Pakistan is Muslim! Now of course, we, at least I'd assume most of us, live in America, which has a 62-68% Christian population, and there's data that 67-76% of all of Europe combined are identified Christian. Now what is my point here? Well, I can't help but notice, based on geography, it kinda determines what you believe in! Now I know the argument of "well just because you're in a certain environment doesn't determine your free will and what you actually choose to believe in" and though that is true to a certain extent, I can't help but feel where you are born really, REALLY has an impact on, well, where you spend for eternity? Like if I were in Thailand, according to the DATA, I have a really, really high percent chance to be practicing Buddhism RIGHT NOW. I might be at a Buddhist temple. And that's what concerns me, because thank God I'm in America and believe the true God and have a relationship with Jesus Christ Who took away all our sins, because if I were, well for example, in Pakistan, I don't really know what will happen to me eternity-wise. I'm kind of just yapping now but I really feel as though it's unfair that where we are born has an impact on our ETERNITY, which is unsettling to me. So, how can this be explained? And for those people who are in those countries where the religion practiced is not the true relationship with God, that is, how can we make sense of how one is even suppose to believe in the Holy Trinity in a country that goes the opposite way? And, is believing in God, the Holy Trinity, really based on geography?

Let's say that someone realizes that he needs to do a specific thing in order to advance the Gospel, but it seems kinda hard. How would someone in this situation properly prepare according to how the Apostles, Saints, and Martyrs prepared themselves for their own endeavors for the Lord?

How far would you go in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord and God the Father in the Holy Ghost?

What would you do in the Love of God? How far is too far for you? For example would you leave everything behind if Jesus were to call you somewhere? Would you get martyred in the Name of Christ? Would you try to walk the path Jesus walked in efforts to imitate Christ? Would you truly suffer with Christ if God calls you to? Would you repent from your sins even though a part of your old flesh desires sin? How far is too far, and would you truly do all for the Kingdom of God (in a REALISTIC manner)?

My questions about combat sports like Taekwondo and Boxing, and their compatibility with the Christian Life.

So, I have had many questions over the years about combat sports like Taekwondo, which I do, and Boxing, and the many others like them. Here are some of my questions which I hope that God can give freely out of his mercy the truth about: 1) Is it ok for someone like me to enter tournaments and compete with others, and if so, in which manner that pleases God and is in alignment with God? 2) Is it wrong to pit one against another in competition like this, or if done in a friendly fashion that does not hurt the person, is it ok then? 3) If I knock someone out on accident, as in I did not intend to knock him out, nor did I do it out of sinful anger for that person, would that be wrong? 4) For people organizing the tournaments and competitions, where do they fit in? Are they in the right, or in the wrong? What particularly about them are they doing right, and what about them are they doing that is not in alignment with God? 5) If I use my skills in Taekwondo, such as defending a helpless person about to be killed, or standing up to the bully by 'teaching him a lesson', would that be pleasing and good to God? In what cases would it be good and pleasing to God, and when would it be offensive to God? Now one thing to know before answers: in Taekwondo we do have protective gear that makes us look like marshmallows. Now that this has all been typed out, I would like to hear some answers. I do want and do indeed yearn to be in alignment with God's will in this area of my life. I want the truth.

About John 6:53 where Jesus made the bold claim about His flesh and blood and some of His disciples left…

So almost all of us know this verse where Jesus said, “ ‘Most assuredly (or Truly truly), I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.’ “ Now this is such a bold claim and if Jesus is saying this in a non-metaphorical way, then this changes truly everything. Because it brings me so many more questions, like what about the people who don’t have the person to transform the bread into flesh for them to eat? Or what if they don’t have the bread and wine to turn into? Of what if they’re unaware, or what if they are ignorant and therefore “left” but still believe in Jesus? Do they truly have no life in them and no matter what faith/love they have for Christ they don’t have life anymore? Or is the physical bread and physical blood required? Or perhaps Jesus was talking about a spiritual kind? I don’t know how to feel about this verse honestly because if I in my lifetime manage to eat the flesh of Jesus and don’t tell my family for example, is the blood on me and is my family’s faith in Jesus for example not enough to save them? I’m not sure if I’m making much sense right now and sorry for the long description but if this is like true, and not metaphorical, and we have to eat His LITERAL Body and Blood to have life, then where does this leave us? Now I believe in the literal Body and Blood of Jesus, but I’m just concerned about me friends and family…

I have a question about Daniel 12:8-13

So basically in these verses God was showing Daniel some kinda vision, and Daniel asks God “ ‘My Lord, what shall be the end of these things?’ “ which is usually interpreted as the end of the age. Now God’s response is very interesting, because after God tells Daniel to go his way and the words are sealed, He gives us a number which is one thousand two hundred and ninety days and also one thousand three hundred and thirty five days. What do these numbers mean and did the countdown already happen? I’m just a bit confused on what this means…

It’s so empty…

Becoming a Christian has led me to realize how empty worldly accomplishments are. Like they all fade. And I don’t know if it’s just me but even after earning awards and stuff it only makes me more sad even during the process because it’s just so worldly and takes me away from God’s presence. And it doesn’t matter how big the accomplishment is but if it takes me away from God, it’s not worth it and I just end up feeling sad and kinda guilty for “leaving” Him afterwards even for a while. Is this normal? And how can someone stay in God even in these types of environments that may lead to pride? Should we be suppressing these feelings? And is it possible to be in God’s presence even in these types of moments when the world celebrates you?
