Discussion Description:
What would you do in the Love of God? How far is too far for you? For example would you leave everything behind if Jesus were to call you somewhere? Would you get martyred in the Name of Christ? Would you try to walk the path Jesus walked in efforts to imitate Christ? Would you truly suffer with Christ if God calls you to? Would you repent from your sins even though a part of your old flesh desires sin? How far is too far, and would you truly do all for the Kingdom of God (in a REALISTIC manner)?

Well, in the Love of God, I would definitely do the following: devote entire weeks to him, all the time just for Him and not much else; Had I lost someone who I really loved, I would still follow Christ; Had I fallen into sin again (which I really hope and pray does not happen!) I would still get up and follow Christ; If I need to say the hard truth in front of a lot of people, I would do it (and I have done this before); If I am moved to do something far away, at first I'll be bummed for a bit, but by the Grace of the Holy Spirit I'll get my act together and serve God. I would for sure suffer for the name of Christ, but martyrdom is a whole new level that realistically speaking I do not think I am yet ready for. When I say martyrdom, I mean literally dying for the sake of the Gospel, I do not mean continually martyring myself (sacrificing my life) every day for the sake of the Good News of Salvation. But honestly, if I am called right now to go to the most needed place on earth for the Gospel (like North Korea for example), I really would not know how God would use me there, but I trust in his plans, and I will obey and remain faithful. I would be hesitant but not backing out. I would of course deny my flesh for the sake of being separated from darkness and exposing darkness so that as many as possible can come to have life in the light. That I think is the easiest part, because I literally do it every day. I think that at my current stage in life, the only thing that is really way too far for me, is abandoning God. There are some hard things that I would be definitely hesitant to go through, such as going to North Korea (because I don't know how I would be of use), real martyrdom just like the Holy Martyrs, but all in all because Jesus Christ freed me from sinful addiction and a sinful worldly life, I am realistically willing to do it all, even the uncomfortable things like getting humiliated, ridiculed, speaking hard truths, or going to a very far place, though I must admit, realistically these I would find very very hard to do! But that's pretty much my confession I suppose.
