I thought I was already being extremely faithful and stuff, but God knew that and he opened my eyes to truly see where I was. I realized that I was not growing as a Christian as much as I had been in the past, and God made me realize this, and he out of his love opened my eyes to repent and start growing again. It is wonderful that God made me realize this. Now I'm prepared to imitate my Lord and I'm ready to grow even more as a Christian.

He has helped me see what actually matters in life, which is to love God and love everyone around me like God loves me. God’s presence with me has protected me every day as I draw close to Him, and because of God I have been able to be more courageous around my friends and love even the meek and humble because they, too, are made in the image of God.

It is true that as we grow more closer to Christ as Christians even the "little" sins we do are so far away from God, that if we are to grow more intimate with Christ, we need to cut those unholy thoughts and sins off our lives. Hence, we are to be more strict with ourselves as true followers of our Lord. But remember that through the many fallings is how we repent and learn of God's Word, sufferings, and everlasting glory!
