Galileo, the man who discovered that we live in a Heliocentric solar system, was a devoted Roman Catholic. Even with some achievements that some may consider worldly have brought glory to God. Like the famous boxer Jimmy Braddock, who became the world champion in boxing, after suffering throughout the Great Depression and broken hands and wrists, and he was a devoted Christian for Christ throughout it all. Of course, suppress all feelings of pride. Instead, remember God that he put you in that position, and so you will have humility, the main weapon against pride.
