Discussion Description:
I’ve just been wondering these days is there only ONE WAY to interpret the Bible, including different verses and such? Or does certain Bible verses have different meanings and is supposed to be that way?

Obviously, you can't just say "Paul isn't condemning same-sex relations in Romans 1, and I know this is true because I interpreted it that way, so it must be true 🤡". HERESY! So yes, there is only one legitimate way to interpret and read the Holy Bible. There is only one Truth that you can get from the Holy Scriptures, the Truth from God. Now it is also true that many teachings, parables, and passages can have double meanings of the same truth. For example, take the Parable of the Mustard Seed: we all know the parable, so I'm just going to go right into what I mean by double meaning. We all know that Jesus was talking about the great spread of the Kingdom of Heaven, the Church, all to the ends of the earth. The twelve Apostles would go out into all of the world, and to this day, their efforts have resulted in more than 2 Billion people who believe and know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. So, the very tiny mustard seed became the biggest tree in the garden. But it also has another meaning, the truth about the word of God directly to a person. The word of God to a person who has not known Jesus is usually very small, like for example one single Bible verse, one minute of a sermon, or five minutes sitting in a Liturgy. That represents the mustard seed. However, by the Grace and power of God, he can grow that small seed into a great tree. For the person who has not known Jesus, that one single Bible verse, sermon, or Liturgy can transform that person through process. God grows the person to know him better, more intimately, and more lovingly. The soul goes from not knowing God at all to being in full communion with him. In this way the soul is totally transformed into loving God, and so the soul at this point can receive angels from God. The one Bible verse turns into the Entire Bible, the one sermon turns into many wonderful and fulfilling sermons, and the one Liturgy turns into Liturgy every day. So you can see with an example like that, Scripture can only be interpreted in One Way, the way being God the Word, Jesus Christ, and the Truth that comes from God, but it can have double meanings which help us understand the Truth from God. The Parable of the Good Samaritan is another good example as well. But do note that double meanings in Scripture are particularly rare, and truthful interpretations of the Scriptures are protected by the One Visible Church that Jesus Christ established. We should be attentive to the Scriptures, knowing what our Lord communicates to us, but we also should guard ourselves against heretical interpretations of Scriptures, the interpretations that draw us away from God and hide the Truth of God. Now I am correctable, so please correct me if wrong.
