My trials and temptations today

Today, instead of a Bible verse, I will recount my day, and describe the trials and temptations I have been going through. These are a little personal, so I'll just give a general overview of it.

I woke up at 5 AM, though at the time I didn't know about it. I took it as a sign from God to pray. So I obeyed with Love, laying down my comfort to pray, per God's sign. I prayed for my friends, family, for the schism to end, for all the homeless people I've ever come across, and for a specific person who I really do care for. I went back to bed.

Then the day got going. It was a normal boring day at school. Hung out with my buddies, did all my classes. I really didn't want to go, for two main reasons, one being out of exhaustion, the other being more personal, but still playing a significant role. In hindsight, Christ himself helped me to endure, a direct answer to my morning prayers. It goes to show that when one has Faith in Jesus Christ, anything is possible.

I was exhausted throughout this entire day, but praise be to God, he helped me throughout it all. Now, later in the day, I experienced real temptation, persistent and powerful temptation to go back to some of my old sins. It was really powerful, and if it weren't for the Holy Rosary, which I was wearing at the time, I would have fallen. I heard a voice, that told me to keep wearing the Holy Rosary or else I would fall. And that proved to be true. It just goes to show that God is readily present with us during our great trials and temptations.

Of course afterward I repented, and prayed to God that with the help of his Grace, I will not go back to those temptations. And so far, I have not gone back, so glory to God! This highlights the importance of immediate repentance after all sins, and highlights that after the battle with temptation, if you think you have sinned, just in case go and repent. If you know that you sinned, go repent and come back to the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ.
