1 Peter 3:8 (New Catholic Bible)

Finally, all of you should be united in spirit, sympathetic, filled with love for one another, compassionate, and humble.

The Word of God.

This is how Saint Peter shepherds his Christians of his day; he calls all of them to bring God's graciousness into the world. The Holy Spirit speaking through Peter is inviting us to bring Christ's light into the world. Us Christians are to behave in this way, that we all should be united in the Love of the Holy Spirit, that we need to show sympathy to one another, including our enemies and the outcasts of society, we must be compassionate to one another, we must be filled and overflowing with God's Love for one another, and we must practice all humility. This is how a real, faithful Christian behaves, and through proper Faith in God, and constant repentance, this is possible, for through God, all things are possible. Freely we have received God's Grace and Love, so we also freely give God's Grace and Love, through the loving presence of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
