The Word of the Lord

Let us put God first in our lives. Let us truly seek the Light we cannot see, but even though we cannot see Him, we know He is here. With us always, helping us always, guiding us home. How I wish to live out a godly life, and how I yearn to put God first by taking off the old and putting on the new. How I want to draw closer to God with each passing day, yet my flesh wishes the opposite, yet the adversaries at times feel stronger, and it's as though I'm prone to sin. But no more are we in chains, surely not, when Jesus Christ has accomplished all! But being believers and followers in Christ Jesus, we do indeed resist the flesh, and persist in the Spirit which is given to us as the Helper, and we first seek His Kingdom, because He is the most important in our lives. Though there may be snares, Jesus Christ holds us up, and we fall unto Him, for He is our refuge, our intermost dwelling. Yes Lord, we follow You, we take up our old rugged Cross to follow You, for You are the only Good, just, merciful One in the world. So rather than going to our temptations, we go to You, and we lay down our lives to You, we listen to You, for we know Your Way is righteous, and Your Love is merciful, and Your Light is just. Yes, we seek your Kingdom first, knowing the things that come after are in your palms of Your hands. Amen.
