"O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good: for his mercy endureth for ever."
The Word of the Lord
We worship God and we give thanks to Him, because He has been so good and merciful to us, and still is, and will always be. Even when we stumble, He is there for us, even when we sin, He washes us clean by His Blood, though we deserve nothing, He gave us everything, in the form of His Son Jesus Christ, Who became sin to put sin to death on the cross so that we are no longer slaves to sin, but sons and daughters to God. Thus, may we always worship Him, may we always give thanks to Him, may our hearts and wash our hands in the Light of Him, not stray to the temporary pleasures of this world, but knowing God is good and merciful, may we turn to Him with repentance daily, whether in the day or in the night, clinging unto Him as we would to any of our precious treasure on earth, though God, unlike earthly treasure, is more costly than anything we can ever own. Yet He gave Himself for us, for the Church, for the salvation of our souls, so freely for those who thirst can be filled up, to be overflowing with the Spirit Who indwells within us. Yes, the Lord is good, and we worship the good good God, for Who else is like the Lord? Is anyone on this earth a friend to us like God, or can anyone on this earth suffer a death He suffered yet still live? Who can pardon our sins, and Who has the power over Hell and Satan and Sin like Jesus Christ, Who also calls us His family? But God alone is the reason we live, He is our purpose, and in lowliness we come to Him so as to be raised up. Therefore, we worship Him, forever and ever, in day and in night, in the desert and in the valleys, coming to Him out from sin, running towards the Light, and He towards us, in an everlasting embrace. This is why we give thanks to Him forever and ever, and fear God, and keep His commandments, for this is our purpose for which we are created for, to live with God and to live with one another in purity and Love, living by His Will which is righteous and just, rather than the deceitful hearts of humanity. We surrender to His Love, then, and be holy, just as He is holy, for He is our Father, and we His children, living in the goodness and mercy of God, which endureth for ever. Amen.
