The greatest moral commandment and the greatest life-giving commandment is to Love God. We are called to Love God with our entire beings, with all our hearts, souls, minds, and indeed with all our strength we can possibly muster. How does one Love God? How do we Love God? We know what he has commanded us to do, for the Word became Flesh, and taught us the Way of God, and showed us the Way of Salvation to God. Throughout his life on earth, he taught us the many things of the Kingdom of Heaven, and to this day he still teaches, just through his Holy Church. He commanded us what to do, what to believe, and how to Love. When we keep His Commandments, which is the virtue of Holy Obedience, then indeed we do Love God with all our heart, soul, and mind, for our whole heart, soul, and mind is in total communion with the heart, soul, and mind of Christ. And indeed the Holy Words of the Prophet Isaiah, whom the Holy Spirit spoke through, these words are true for us who trust in God, and so therefore remain steadfast in Love for him: "O Lord, you grant Peace to those who remain steadfast in you, because of their trust in you." Therefore my brothers and sisters, go and Love the Lord your God with your entire being, not being double-minded nor double-tongued, for no one can serve two masters, but wholeheartedly devote yourselves to God, Loving God and remaining steadfast in doing so, and having the Peace of God rest in our hearts.
