He did not spare his own Son but gave him up for all of us. How then can he fail also to give us everything else along with him?
The Word of the Lord.
Christ became incarnate so that we might become God. "God Became Man, so that Man might become God," as said by the Great Saint Athanasius. The Son gave up all his already present Glory he had with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit, and took upon himself the humble form of a servant. The Son gave his entire life for our Salvation. He did not do this for no reason. He did this for a very good and purposeful reason: to deify Humanity. Remember, Christ was transfigured, he rose from the dead, and he ascended into Heaven to be with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit forever and ever, in unceasing unity and communion with them. So we who live out faithfulness to Christ, in Christ, and within Christ, we also would inherit as heirs of God all the things that Christ has experienced, for God is faithful, true, and keeps his promises. We will be transfigured, we will be resurrected, and we will be received into the Heavenly Kingdom of Heaven, so we can always partake of God's Love and Life for all eternity. Let us all therefore, with these comforting words, continue to persevere under trials, continue to Love those around us, continue to resist the devil, and continue to lay down our lives in great Love for God and for each other, for we are created in the Image of God. Amen.
