The Holy Word of God.

This single verse from the Psalms is intimately connected with Christ Beatitude: "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted," (Matthew 5:4). The comforting power of God far outweighs all the sorrows one would experience in this life. Many will be sad and sorrow over the state of the world, and we in our own lives may have things happen to us that cause us to be sad and sorrow over it. This kind of sorrow, Holy Sorrow, is a good thing, for we will feel sad for a time, but then this sadness will point us to God, and to remember how Christ himself experienced sorrow, and yet still remained perfectly obedient to God, and perfectly in the Love of God. Because of this Holy Sorrow that pointed to remaining faithful to The Father in all things, Christ endured it and rose from the dead. He was sorrowful during the Passion, (sow in tears), but he reaped abundantly in joy when he rose from the dead (reap in joy). With us also in this life, let us all always have the belief and faithfulness that Christ invites us to have whenever we are sorrowful, to use this Holy Sorrow to come to God more intimately, lovingly, and faithfully, so that we will reap in the same comfort and joy Christ offers.
