“If you are reproached (insulted) for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified. But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people’s matters. Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter.”
The Word of the Lord
In whatever we do, we glorify God, but when we suffer as Christians, we should all the more glorify God in our sufferings, as we have been given the opportunity to partake in Christ’s sufferings; therefore we rejoice and be glad! Let him who curse curse, but you bless (Psalm 109:28). In the end, we leave it to God, by trusting in God’s will and not our own. Rather than acting on impulse, we act in wisdom from the Holy Spirit, not to gratify ourselves or satisfy the flesh, but knowing God’s Word, we are not ashamed, but are filled with great joy knowing we are blessed. Thank You Lord for Your Word. Amen.
