The Price of Love

“Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of His household,” (Ephesians 2:19)
A Chinese song I enjoy a lot, in English it’s called The Price of Love and I want to share this with you all here. Is not this foreign person your brother? Or this stranger your sister? But in God we are made to be brothers and sisters in the House of the Lord.

Here are the lyrics!

He left the throne of heaven above Wrapped in flesh the God of love Walked among the broken and the lost Knowing well the coming cost

No one took His life away He laid it down He chose to stay Upon that cross for you and me

What kind of love would bleed and die? What kind of grace would take my place? The King of kings hung on a tree And every wound was meant for me

O precious blood O holy pain The Lamb of God forever slain Yet in His death I found my life The price of love in Jesus Christ

Thorns upon the brow of grace Nails that held love in its place Every breath a gift to those Who turned away and never known

Still He cried Father forgive He died so that we all might live What mercy poured from Calvary

What kind of love would bleed and die? What kind of grace would take my place? The King of kings hung on a tree And every wound was meant for me O precious blood O holy pain The Lamb of God forever slain Yet in His death I found my life The price of love in Jesus Christ

I was the reason for the cross I was the sheep that once was lost But He who knew no sin became The sacrifice to bear my shame

I'll never understand the cost Of love that found me when I'm lost But I will spend eternity Giving thanks for Calvary

What kind of love would bleed and die? What kind of grace would take my place? The King of kings hung on a tree And every wound was meant for me O precious blood O holy pain The Lamb of God forever slain Yet in His death I found my life The price of love Jesus Christ The price of love Jesus Christ source: https://lyricsondemand.com/grace_hymns/the_price_of_love

These are the actual lyrics to the song, the lyrics up top was probably for the full version or soemthing: He left the glory of heaven, came to the world, walked through the dust, and passed through the crowds . Step by step toward Golgotha—this is the price of love, embracing my freedom . A crown of thorns was pressed upon His head; nails pierced His hands . This is the price of love, deeper and thicker than death . On the cross, He spread His arms wide, holding me tightly in His embrace .Darkness shrouded Mount Golgotha; He cried out, "Father God, why have You forsaken Me?" But He was still willing to bear all my sin and shame . (Refrain: This is the price of love...) I once drifted in sin, but Your love found me . Every wound was suffered for me; every drop of blood bears my name . How can I not thank You? Thank You, thank You . I can never repay this love in my lifetime; it can never be finished . I desire to offer my whole life to You, to You .The price of love, the price You paid for me. Thank You Lord, Amen.
