"But the Lord said to Samuel, 'Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.' ”
The Word of the Lord
God does not measure by appearance, but the state of one's heart. Likewise, we are not to judge others based on their looks, for it can be deceptive for both good and bad, but see who they truly are which is revealed by their fruit. Our actions, words, and thoughts, then, should also match our heart, so we do not deceive ourselves about the Lord God.
