Discussion Description:
If you did something on accident that’s bad, for example, of course you’re going to be judged by the world, but is it really a sin to God if there was no intention in your heart whatsoever to commit that sin? Does it still count? And do you confess that sin just in case even though it was “not you” who’s done it?

You cannot commit adultery on accident, nor murder, nor blaspheming the Lord, nor cursing people, nor any other sin that is explicitly with intent. In fact, isn't sin a willful intention to deviate from the ways of God? I mean really to answer your question, can you tell me an example of like an accidental sin? Because based on what I know so far, sin is not accidental, but willful. If you lie with malicious intent, that's a sin. If you fail to honor your mother and father, that's a willful sinful intent. But of course just in case, you can confess your sin in Holy Confession just to be safe. I do that sometimes. I don't know what accidental sin is, and it would be better to explain it if there was an example, but I do know this: Sin is a willful and intentional deviation from the path of the God who created heaven and earth. It doesn't matter if its stealing a candy bar, lying to your boss, or committing genocide. Sin is still a deviation from God, no matter how great or small, but it can always be forgiven by Grace from Christ.

We are still human and sometimes we just make a mistake that is not contrary to God Almighty. If we forget something at school, it's just a mistake, and it is not contradicting God's nature. If we broke a plate on accident, it was just an accident and a mistake to learn from, again just our human nature, and not contrary to God's nature. In those cases its not moral or immoral, it's just mistakes that were made meant to be learned from. If these were really sins, then 613 Old Testament Laws would grow to 999999 Old Testament Laws! And that is utterly absurd! So no, these types of accidental sins are not sins, and don't waste your time in Confession confessing these tiny mistakes.
