Discussion Description:
Really right now I want any and all ideas coming from any of you guys. And really do not be afraid to put your idea out there, for we need these branches of Christianity to really unite.

I’m only starting to explore the Catholic Church and currently reading an Orthodox Bible as a Protestant so isn’t that awesome. AnYwAyS. The cores of Christianity, I believe, are the same (or should be the same) for every Protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox, such as Jesus being the Messiah and stuff like that, however, there’s other really big stuff we don’t agree upon. Since I go to a Protestant church though we don’t call ourselves “Protestant”, my pastor (who is a woman and I know major red flag already) believes yall catholics worship Mary (which I know now is not true since praying for intercession which is still pointing to our Lord Jesus Christ, is not worshipping). That is just one example of a difference, and others like church traditions and different theologies and different practices are just more factors that add up to the mess and confusion. So what I really think is necessary for Catholic, Protestants, and Orthodox Churches to unite as One is first, the confusion needs to be cleared up. The devil came to steal, to kill, and to destroy and we mustn’t be separated due to the efforts of the devil. Another is we may need to go back to tradition, at least the Protestant side, because as much as the mega churches bring people in, you gotta ask yourself is that an environment that truly worships the Lord and can you spend time with the Lord in that environment, cause I’ve been to those (not stayed) and it’s loud (though so much enthusiasm and energy for our Lord God is good). And as for the Catholics and Orthodox Christians, since they all view themselves as the original church that Jesus Christ founded, and perhaps both are right and are just two halves of a broken whole, they just need to reunite or something. To be honest I don’t really know what would undo the schism and a lot may have been on the political side of things, but some meeting may be needed to be arranged to mend the wounds, find some common ground between the two, though since the Orthodox Church don’t accept the pope as the head of the Church it’s gonna be real hard. So honestly, I don’t know, and this is just me rambling. However, what I do know is as much division as there is on earth, there would be none in Heaven, and Protestants, Catholics, and Orthodox Christians who put their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ our God and Savior would all be part of the Kingdom. But as on earth, I’d say first, clear the confusion up, second, find common ground and though we may not agree with everything because of our very different theologies and ways of doing things, that somehow those may be overcome one way or another (don’t really know how yet) and third, unite! Way easier said than done. And yeah, those are my thoughts on this matter and truly if somehow the Protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox Churches were able to unite back to the One, Visible, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church, I will be there. I pray that happens in this lifetime.
