We have guns so no one else can mess with us or kill us. Do you really think that when everyone has guns, that people with guns would be messing and annoying other people with guns? No, everyone would respect each other, and no one would have conflict. Having our guns confiscated would mean disaster for all gun owners, because we simply cannot defend ourselves from the bad guys with guns, still. And there would be more conflict in some areas. Yeah, maybe the second amendment is really the way to go for peace and protection.
