Discussion Description:
I’ve been wondering recently if the One True Church even exists. Ever since the schism, churches have been separate and not in communion with each other. So what even is the One True Church? Catholic? Orthodox? Somewhere in between? And how can we tell if the Church has the presence of the Holy Spirit? Do we just know or is it a feeling?

Christ has built his church, and to this day, as Jesus Christ had said, it is still living, and the darkness has never been able to overcome it. Of course there is some dispute over who is the real and true Church, who has kept the true teaching of the Apostles and the true ways of the Apostolic Teaching from the time of Christ. There is really only two options: the Roman Catholic Church, or the Orthodox Church. It cannot be both, for there is only one holy catholic and apostolic church. We can tell if a Church has the presence of the Holy Spirit by 1) its Holiness, for wherever the Holy Spirit is, he makes it Holy, for whatever God touches is deified, 2) the presence is inviting and loving, for the Holy Spirit, much like the Father and Son, is loving, 3) if the teachings within the Church are in real and true accordance with the Early Apostolic Teachings, especially for the first Seven Ecumenical Councils, and 4) if the Church is similar to descriptions of how early Christian Liturgies functioned. There is only one true Church that Jesus Christ truly is with, and it is either Roman Catholicism or Orthodoxy. Whichever one it is, that is the True Living Church of Christ, but whichever one it is not, that does not mean that they are completely cut off, for they still hold to essential truths of the Gospel, meaning they still are Christians, but not fully united to Christ's Holy Church.
