Good day brothers and sisters. It's a great day to know God, to serve God, to have the right beliefs and practices of God, and to have intimate fellowship with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and the Holy Spirit who is the Lord and the Giver of Life, and to have a deep and full loving communion with God the Father, the Lover of mankind. Let us keep in his commands and let us steadfastly hold onto the right beliefs of Jesus Christ our Lord.

We must first know why it is important to have the right beliefs of Jesus Christ, our Lord and God. If we worship the right Jesus, with the right beliefs, we truly know God, we can enter into a deep and loving Communion with God, and we can truly have our sins forgiven, to have eternal life forever and ever, and to always remain in God's most precious love forever and ever. Death will never have a hold over us ever again, worries would not hold us captive anymore, and sin's power would be greatly diminished. In short, if we have the right beliefs about Christ our Lord, we can experience Eternal Life and God's Love, something so wonderful it is something otherworldly.

If however, we hold wrong and corrupt beliefs about Jesus Christ, then now we invent a new 'god'. The danger of this is that we may think we are following God, but in reality, we are not. We then follow something that will lead us astray, something that will not have values, morals, or virtue even. We then following a corrupted version of the Gospel may fall into sin's snares, and so we ourselves would become corrupted by the demons, and so we fall, deeper and deeper into the abyss, away from God by our own ignorance, folly, and pride even. These corrupted and wrong beliefs are known as Heresy. In short, when we believe things that are Heresy - beliefs and doctrines that are incompatible with Christianity, The Bible, The Gospel, The Church Fathers, or the Nicaean Creed - Heresy would lead us away from God, and all things that are truly good.

So the concise answer to the definition of Heresy within the context of Christianity is simply this: a belief, doctrine, or dogma that is incompatible with Christianity. So it is important to really have the right beliefs about Christ our Lord, and the Holy Trinity, or else we wound up not actually following God. Right beliefs and right actions equal deep communion with God, and all what the Gospel promises us. For when we have right beliefs and right practice when serving Christ our Lord, God the Father, and the Holy Spirit, then we have life eternal and what a wonderful gift God has given us by his most precious Grace and Love!
