Good day brothers and sisters. God is Love, and God is Good. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God for delivering us out of sin, and for giving us the path to everlasting life, through his beloved and only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Let us continue in the great Love that Christ has for us and let us keep his Love by Loving him back with all we have by keeping his commands. Let us follow him diligently and put to death all things that cause us to stumble before God, and so become perfect, just as the Father himself is Perfect.

Let us remember the lesson of martyring ourselves. This is an expression used to show us how to truly Love just as Christ Jesus did. Christ died on a cross and was buried for three days to take away all of our sins, because he really does Love us. And so by giving up all he had, to take away all of our sins, he martyred himself, and sacrificed everything that he could have been, to do the will of the Father who sent him. He died the most painful, humiliating, and agonizing death any human could suffer. All because he loved us, and sacrificed everything he could have been in great Love for us, and Our Father.

So, remembering Christ's passion and the lesson of martyring ourselves, let us also remember the great commandment that the Lord Jesus Christ has given us: Love one another as he has loved us. As he loved us, we must love one another. Remember Christ's words: No one has greater Love than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends. My brothers and sisters in Christ, we must continually sacrifice ourselves for the others around us, to keep loving them as we Love the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Whoever loves God must also love their brother and sister who is around them.

I will tell a personal testimony to help you to understand an example of martyring yourself. After a great big fun day with my family at the beach, I was exhausted, and I just wanted to relax for the rest of the evening. But my little brother wanted me to play toys with him. I was exhausted, so initially I turned it down. But remembering the great Love that I have for Christ and my little brother, I decided to martyr myself, through the power of the Holy Spirit. I did do this because it would be loving toward my brother and loving toward God as well. We played for a long time too, in all around 40 minutes. Then I was really exhausted! But I did do the right thing that God is so pleased that I did of my own free will, through the strength of the Holy Spirit.

This is the lesson brothers and sisters, that we must martyr ourselves for the great love we have for one another, because Christ has redeemed us from sin. Continually martyr yourself for the great love you have for others, for this is right in God's eyes, and it will be commended by him, and of the people around you for martyring yourself for the great love you have for others. Love each other, and martyr yourself, and humbly put others before yourself, for this is wonderful in God's eyes.

May the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you always. Go glorify the Lord with your life now. Amen.
