Good day my brothers and sisters. It is a very good day for the Lord, and I rejoice in the hope that our Lord Jesus Christ will come again in great power and glory to give salvation to us all who are eagerly awaiting him. Let us then be reminded of the importance of carrying our cross, and so faithfully follow Christ by continually carrying our cross.

You see brothers and sisters, carrying our cross is very important. Our cross is our God-given mission to do here on earth, to Glorify God Almighty, through his beloved Son, Jesus called the Christ. Most of the time, it is a lot of suffering, and a lot of sacrifice to keep on persevering for Our Lord. But remember brothers and sisters, whenever we endure trials, sufferings, and tests for the Lord whilst carrying our cross, we take part in Christ's own suffering and sacred passion. And if we do take part in Christ's suffering, we will also take part in the Resurrection of the Righteous, at the end of the age, and so we will be with Christ forever and ever, in everlasting Glory.

And if you do not know why you should carry your cross daily for Christ, let us remember some examples shown to us in Church History: Saint Peter led the early church every single day, risking his life every single day for the sake of the Gospel of Christ. And he eventually did die for Christ, becoming a martyr in the form of being crucified upside down, to which he gave Glory to God, and so took part in everlasting life. Similarly, Saint Paul for giving hope and love to the Gentiles because of his preaching for the Gospel of Christ resulted in him getting thrown into jail, stoned many times, scourged many times, insulted all his missionary life, and finally getting beheaded in Rome, but by carrying his cross, he has been granted eternal life, because he carried his cross and Glorified God.

In another example, Saint Thomas (yes, Doubting Thomas), he went all the way from Jerusalem to India, to preach the Gospel to the people there, to give them the hope and Love of God, to give them the way to Eternal Life through the Son, Jesus Christ, and that he did. But because he was carrying his cross to glorify Christ, he was also killed far away in India, speared by men, and so died, Glorifying Christ.

We can now see brothers and sisters that when we carry our cross, our God-given mission here on earth, to remain in Christ's Love and to do the works of him, we will be doing the right thing, which matters, but we will be persecuted, mistreated, and eventually killed for our Love for Christ. We will suffer greatly for Christ brothers and sisters. But by carrying our cross, we will lead others to the hope that we so much believe and take part in, which has the power to save us from the grip of the devil. We will be doing our part to Love one another, and by keeping Christ's command, we will inherit Eternal Life through him.

Keep these words in your heart, and do not forget to put them into practice. May the Love of God be with you always brothers and sisters. Amen. GLORY TO CHRIST!
