My brothers and sisters in Christ, may the Lord Jesus Christ's peace be with you always, along with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit, forever and always. Today there is an important truth that we must discuss about, a truth that our Lord Jesus Christ has spoken about, if one desires to become the greatest, they must be the very servant of all.

Brothers and Sisters, remember that Christ died for us that we may have life in him. We receive this great gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, that when we have faith in him, we may be gifted with Eternal Life from God, so that we may live with God forever and ever. For this reason, we hail Jesus Christ as the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, and rightly so because that is truly what Jesus Christ is: the Savior of all who believe in him. But remember brothers and sisters of what it took Christ to get there.

Before he was glorified by God through his cross and resurrection, he was born in a manger, then was raised in an obscure town called Nazareth, where he learned from his earthly father how to be a carpenter, a job that demanded hard physical labor. Then after some time passes, the time came for him to do what he came to do.

He taught many things that are according to God and spoke many important truths during his ministry. No matter what though, he was always on the move, teaching people about the Kingdom of God, healing those who were sick, blind, lame, deaf, mute, and raising the dead back to life as well. He would rest once in a while though, but then he would always get to work again, serving people and teaching them many things.

But finally the time came to fulfill the true purpose of his coming: to take on the full burden of sin, and once and for all take away all of it for all time. He was abandoned by his twelve closest friends, disowned three times by one of his best friends, was arrested like a dangerous criminal during the night, was illegally tried and sentenced to death via crucifixion, was mocked by his own people, brutally flogged and scourged, had to carry a cross that weighed more than 300 pounds, and was finally nailed to the cross, and suffered for hours to come. He did all this without cursing once, or sinning once. Finally, he died, and was buried.

But then he was alive again when three days passed. He rose from the dead, and with his glorious resurrection, conquered sin, death, evil, and Satan, and has broken the chains of those very things, that we may have freedom under Christ, and as a result we hail him as the greatest who ever lived.

So, from this super short account of Jesus' life, this shows that even Jesus Christ, the greatest of all, did not come to be served, but to serve his people (Mark 10:45). He set the example that if anyone of us would want to become great, we must actually serve other people like a servant. For the greatest among you all, will be your servant, for you will be obedient to the Lord's command, "Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another" (John 13:34). So go and serve other people, so that you may bring glory to your Father in heaven.
