Brothers and sisters, read this parable, and learn its lesson from it:
A man went out to a distant country one day, looking for the truth about being saved, for he was fearful of what would happen after his death. So he went out to a distant country, and once he arrived, he met many people who all claimed that they knew the truth about salvation. One said cleansing yourself regularly would guarantee your salvation from a fearful end. Another said knowing what God knows is the key to being saved.
The man seeking truth saw another man, one who taught something different from the rest of the men. He claimed that he came from the creator, and taught things never taught before. The man said to this man, "Why should I trust you? All these other men are teaching things that many follow, but what about you?"
The man replied, "Friend, the path to the Truth is actually very narrow. Only a few will find the Truth, and the Truth will set them free."
Just then a great earthquake violently shook the place. It was so violent that all the people who claimed that they knew the truth, including the one who taught differently, died. The man seeking truth escaped, but not without many injuries.
The next day came, and the man seeking truth was limping along, when suddenly, he saw the same man who taught differently from the rest. The teacher saw him, and called out to him. The man came to the teacher.
"How is it that you died, but now you are alive again without a scratch on you?" the man seeking truth asked.
"Friend," the teacher replied, "I am alive because I am the Creator. I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Those other teachers taught for their own evil intent, but I teach to save you, and I have worked to give you salvation. If you truly believe in me, I will give you life. I did not die because of the earthquake, but I willingly put down my life for you, because I love you, and I want you to know the Truth. I tell you, this sign was performed so that you may have faith that I give life to all those who hear and believe."
Now this parable I wrote on my own, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. I truly believe that God himself helped me to write this very article. If there are any mistakes, they are my own, not God's. This story is meant to illustrate that salvation is found only in Christ Jesus, not in Buddha, not in Muhammed, not in Tai Chi. They all look like they are the truth, but there was only one person who rose from the dead, which God can only do: Christ Jesus, and this makes him the Truth, and everything that he said is the Truth. Have faith in Christ, so that you will have life in his name.
The grace of Lord Jesus Christ, and God the Father and the Holy Spirit, the One True Living God, be with you all. Amen.
