The Passion of the Christ is one of the most successful movies of all time, with a budget of 30 million, the movie made in 2004 grossed 600 million dollars by the time its box-office run concluded. It is widely regarded as a very accurate and authentic movie about Christ's suffering Passion that saves all who believe in the Christ, the Son of God.

The movie starts at Gethsemane, where Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is praying to the Heavenly Father, another part of the one true living God. Jesus Christ sweats droplets of blood in severe agony as he knows how much pain and suffering he will have to go through to take on the full burden of all sin from all people for all time, to finally abolish all sin. He then is betrayed by one of his 12 close Apostles, and then is beaten, tortured and mocked along the way to the Jewish High Court, the Sanhedrin.

He then arrives at the Sanhedrin, where he was falsely accused of many things that he himself did not do. When asked to testify if he is the Messiah, the Son of the Living God, Jesus Christ says yes, testifying the Truth, but is rejected, and thus is beaten, slapped, and spat on as his verdict is chosen to be death. As he is suffering all this, he is denied by one of his best friends Peter, three times.

Jesus Christ was then taken to Pilate, then sent away by Pilate to King Herod, who was ecstatic to see him at first, but then mocks him, and calls him a "silly fool," and concludes that he is just crazy, and sends Jesus away back to Pilate. Pilate then succumbs to the crowd, and so chooses to release a dangerous murderer instead of Jesus Christ. He then sends Christ away to be brutally flogged. Everywhere on his body he was scarred and wounded, and then after this, he was forced to carry his own cross, on which he would be killed.

It was a very tough walk for Jesus Christ, carrying a heavy cross well over 150 pounds for nearly half a mile, and weakened by a severe beating. Finally at the place of where he would die, he was nailed on the cross, one nail through each hand, and one nail through both feet, only to inflict pain on Jesus Christ. After suffering on the cross from nine in the morning to three in the afternoon (so six hours), he finally died, but not before he tells a repentant thieve who was also crucified by Jesus that he would join him in Paradise.

The film then ends with Christ's wonderous resurrection, three days from when he died.

This is most of the events covered in The Passion of the Christ. There is still more detail, believe it or not, so go and watch this movie. It truly will show you just how much suffering and pain Christ endured to save us all from eternal punishment, that we may live righteous lives under Christ.
