The Transfiguration of Jesus Christ, as shown in this beautiful painting by Carl Bloch, 1865:

Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord: Listen to him | National Catholic Reporter

Shows the awaiting reward for us Christians who serve in God's Kingdom, according to his will. It is a truly heavenly thing to see and read about. It shows that Jesus Christ is truly divine as the Son of God, and it does show a glimpse of the Kingdom of God when all the things end, and the righteous people are given eternal life, in the Kingdom of God.

Jesus in the Transfiguration is transformed from an earthly body to a glorified, perfect heavenly body, as the scripture does say. This also awaits us Christians as well, when we do serve in the Kingdom of God. And it is easy: Jesus Christ will give you the strength to serve in his Kingdom, should you ask him with faith in prayer to him.

What happened to Jesus Christ in the Transfiguration also awaits us Christians who do the Lord's will down here on Earth: a new perfect, heavenly body, without blemish, without any stains, without any wrong, without any flaws, without any sin. Just think of the joy you would have when after all the hard times, all the trials and hardships, when you see Jesus Christ in your perfect, glorified body when you are welcomed into eternal life, because you truly did his will while on Earth.

Whenever you are suffering, being persecuted, or going through hardships as a Christian, just remember that after all those hardships, all those wrong false things against you, all those episodes of hardship, this awaits you, the Transfiguration, when you have a perfect flawless body, heart, soul, and spirit, because you truly followed Jesus Christ, from the beginning of your new life in Christ, to the day you died.

Remember and keep this episode in your heart every day. Heaven in your perfect body waits for you, but only if you do the Will of the Father in heaven, which of course Jesus Christ spoke about. Just be patient, and remember the Lord's commands, of Loving God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and loving one another has he has loved us. Have faith in him that he has taken away your sin through his death on the cross and give thanks and rejoice in every moment of your life.

Grace and Peace to all of you this day through God our Father, and his Son, Jesus Christ. May the Holy Spirit be with you all. AMEN.
